Tips For GRE Subject Tests

Many of you have not heard about subject test and might be worried about several things like who to take help from? Don't you worry, I have got some awesome tips for you.
1. Always start early. Ideally starting your search for schools their credentials must be 18 months prior to your departure. This means you should know what kind of test to take, how to prepare for the test, and based on your test score which school to apply.
2. Learn to manage time depending on the subject. Every subject test lasts 2hours and 50 minutes, so based on the subject try to allot a particular time for each question. Don't ponder over the question if you don't know the answer, just move on.
3. Lastly, keep practicing. Get a study guide or practice book, take prep classes and just brush up on all your knowledge in that subject. 

Subject tests and when to take them?

GRE as we all know is a standard version. Apart from the regular GRE, there are 7 types of subject tests- Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, English Literature and Psychology. These tests are used to measure the student's extensive knowledge in these subjects. Obviously therefore this test will hold more value over the regular GRE especially when you are applying for courses in the above mentioned subjects.

When are these tests conducted? Only 3 times a year in September, October and April. It is a paper based test and it scored on 900 point scale with each right answer giving you 1 point and a wrong answer deducts 1/4th of a point. Now that's bad news!
