We all know about GRE and how Engineering students usually take it, but did you know there are subject specific GRE tests as well? The subject tests are for students who have undergraduate majors or who belong to disciplines like- 1.Biochemistry,2. Biology,3. Chemistry,4. Literature in English, 5.Mathematics,6. Physics and 7.Psychology.
The subject tests are used to measure the knowledge of an individual in a particular field of study. These tests rightly indicate our strengths and weaknesses in a particular subject. It's a way of showing off your skills to the college.
It is not necessary that you take a subject test, however by doing so you will stand out of the rest of the crowd and may gain better chances of acceptance. If you are planning to take a GRE Subject Test, then you should also know that it's a Paper based test and is conducted only 3 times a year in September, October and April.
